Welcome to UNO!
|
New Student Orientation is designed to assist you with the transition to UNO academic
and student life, provide you an opportunity to become
familiar with your college, meet faculty and administrators,
and to help you register for your first semester of classes.
Registering early through New Student Orientation will
potentially provide you with the best selection of classes.
In addition, the orientation program features small group
discussions directed by current UNO students
to introduce you to university resources, campus facilities,
student services, social and recreational activities,
and answer any questions that you may have concerning
UNO or the college experience. It is a chance to make
new friends and begin your academic life positively. |

All new freshman students attending the University of New Orleans are required to register for and attend an Orientation Program.

Thank you Student Government for sponsoring our Organization Fests for our Fall Freshman Orientation Programs!

It is very important that you attend the earliest orientation
possible! Orientation is the time when you schedule
your classes. Earlier in the summer, there is a better choice
of class times and class availability because more class
seats are available. So remember attend orientation early!
Freshman, Transfer and Adult Undergraduate Orientation Programs
We have developed different orientation programs to meet
the unique needs of UNO's diverse student body.
If you are a first-time college student or you are transferring
from another college/university with less than 60 credit
hours of college coursework, you are required to attend the Freshman
Orientation Program.
If you are an adult learner (25 and over) and this is your first-time attending college, we now have an Adult Orientation Program in August if you do not want to attend the Freshman or Transfer Program.
